This pageant is an official preliminary to the Princess of North Carolina State Scholarship Pageant that will be held in Goldsboro on August 4-5, 2006.

World music will fill the air as the Hayes School of Music hosts the Southeastern Caribbean Chapter of Society of Ethnomusicology annual conference on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18, featuring paper presentations, a keynote speaker and a variety of musical performances. All conference events are free of charge, with the exception of the Saturday night performance of Carmina Burana, and the public is invited to attend all or some of the presentations and performances.
