Extraordinary Extremes
Although the cusp of High Country seasons is usually wrought with an eclectic mix of weather, the first day of spring (March 20) was met with extraordinary extremes. Inches of snow blanketed the High Country on Monday, coming just hours after two of the area's ski resorts had closed for the season. Temperatures are expected to feel more seasonable by the middle of next week, granting more early spring chances for residents to bask in the High Country sunshine.
