Three Little Birds Outside My Doorstep . . .
Capping a month that overall was cooler than average, May ended with a sweltering streak of temperatures in the 70s and 80s - a pleasant surprise to this family of birds who had had enough of the lingering cooler temperatures. With recent afternoon rumbles of distant thunder and short, punchy thunderstorms, it feels as though a typical - but wonderful - High Country summer is setting in.
