The Avery County YMCA will introduce its new Wellness Center on Saturday, March 31, from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
YMCA staff, along with Wellness Director Matt Parker, will be on hand to escort patrons throughout the facility. Staffers will also be available to answer questions about membership options and assist interested individuals in completing membership applications.
The Wellness Center is a 6,200 square foot facility that will accommodate the fitness and wellness needs of all ages and ability levels through the use of treadmills, elliptical and resistance equipment and free weights. Additionally, indoor track surrounds the fitness floor.
Located in the Sloop Medical Office Plaza, next to Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville, the Avery County YMCA Wellness Center will officially open April 2, and will operate seven days a week.
