Grandfather Mountain Highland
Games Begin July 12
Now in its 52nd year, the Highland Games has become one of the largest Scottish events in the world. The festival lasts for four days, beginning on Thursday, July 12, at 4:30 p.m. with a picnic on MacRae Meadows and ending in the dark after the Calling of the Clans. With four days filled with Scottish music, dancing, food, clothing, field games and more, attendees can experience authentic, traditional Scottish culture. (Full Story)
