How often does your workplace give you an opportunity to showcase what you do when you’re not at work?
The Boone Mast General Store is doing just that on Saturday, July 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. when eight employees host a photograph exhibit on the sidewalk facing King Street. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will benefit the Public Art Program, an initiative of the Downtown Boone Development Association and the Boone Public Art Committee that aims to bring more public art into downtown Boone.
“This gives a chance for the photographers of the Mast Store to showcase their art and help raise money to help the Public Art Program,” said Tommy White, general manager of the Mast General Store in Boone and coordinator of the photo exhibit. “I think these two work well together.”
Travel, adventure, landscape, wedding and studio photos are all included in the exhibit. All photos are matted.
The photo exhibit will be the first of many fundraisers that the Boone Mast General Store will host in support of the Public Art Program.
