Water Supply Worries in Boone

ASU Delivers Draft of Water Connectivity Agreement to Town
For more than a year, the Town of Boone and Appalachian State University have discussed an interconnectivity agreement that would allow Boone to purchase water from the university to meet emergency needs. On Tuesday, the town received a draft water supply agreement signed by Chancellor Kenneth Peacock.

Watauga Commissioners Petition DOT To Solve Broadstone Road Problem
At their meeting Tuesday night, the Watauga County Board of Commissioners unanimously passed a resolution calling for the North Carolina Department of Transportation to conduct a feasibility study and plan for improvements, including a turn lane for the intersection, and improvements to the Watauga River Bridge.
