MerleFest Early Bird Ticket Sales End March 14

Story by David Brewer

Bargain hunters and music lovers beware; the deadline for purchasing MerleFest tickets at discounted prices is fast approaching. Friday, March 14, will be the last day patrons can catch a bargain before ticket prices climb across the board for the festival that takes place Thursday, April 24, to Sunday, April 27.

Currently you can buy four-day reserved seating passes for $225 for rows 1 to 35 and $200 for rows 36 to 56. Four-day general admission passes are $135, and weekend passes (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) are $120. Children under 12 are admitted free to general admission seating areas.

Single-day ticket prices will not change prior to the festival and are currently listed at $35 for Thursday, $45 for Friday, $50 for Saturday and $40 for Sunday.

A reserved seat ticket ensures the ticket holder will receive a reserved chair in front of the Watson and Cabin Stages. Chairs are provided at most of the other stages and are available on a first-come first-served basis or you may bring your own chairs or blankets.

According to an automated message from the MerleFest ticket center, Midnight Jam tickets, on-campus parking passes and RV sites are currently unavailable.

Purchase tickets by calling 1-800-343-7857 or by clicking to www.merlefest.org.
