New Membership Classification Available at Jefferson Landing
For a limited time, prospective members may elect to become an associate member at Jefferson Landing. This recallable membership waives the initiation deposit of $17,500 and provides full membership privileges by paying the annual dues of $3,400 for 2008.
“Associates will be full members until the membership cap of 325 golfing members has been reached,” said General Manager Ed Rodgers. “When the cap has been obtained, associate memberships will be recalled on a last-in, first-out basis.”
Rodgers said he estimated “at least five years” before the cap is attained. “Therefore, this is an excellent program for persons who want to be members, but may be hesitant to invest the initiation fee,” Rogers offered. “It is also an affordable opportunity for prospective members to see if they like and enjoy the club and its recreational amenities.”
Associate members can upgrade to a full golf membership at any time, and the $17,500 initiation fee is 80 percent refundable. The fee is fully refundable after 30 years.
Jefferson Landing is located Ashe County. It was founded in 1989 and features a championship golf course designed by former US Open champion Larry Nelson. The club offers tennis on Har-Tru clay surfaces, a heated swimming pool and a fitness center. Situated on the New River, it also offers fishing and canoeing.
Jeremy’s Lodge, an 118-room facility with panoramic views, overlooks the golf course and surrounding mountains and is available to the public.
