Biodiesel Adventure Stops in Boone

Last Saturday, April 12, ASU students, community members and members of the Collaborative Biodiesel Project greeted Biodiesel Adventure as the Japanese group made a stop in Boone. Biodiesel Adventure is a group traveling across the world to teach people about biodiesel. The group collects used vegetable oil from local people at each stop, makes biodiesel from it with an advanced technology onboard processor and then uses the platform to connect people interested in global issues. The purpose of the stop, coordinated by ASU Department of Technology Instructor Jeremy Farrell and Biodiesel Adventure’s Satori, was to promote a cross-cultural exchange of sustainable technologies. While in Boone, members of the Biodiesel Adventure group visited the ASU Biodiesel Education and Research Lab. Photos courtesy of Jeremy Farrell
