Free Health Fair In Newland April 22
Spring is here and is a great time to think about your health and wellness. On Tuesday, April 22, the It’s Spring – Rejuvenate Yourself health fair will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cranberry House in Newland.
This free event is open to locals of all ages and designed to put you in touch with local and national organizations that offer health, wellness and related services. Some of the organizations that will be represented are the Alzheimer’s Association of Western NC, the Avery County Senior Center, Cannon Memorial Hospital, Avery County Home Health, Passages, Life Care Center of Banner Elk, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Medi Home Care, Stanley Labs and many more. Take home information about services offered by caring people, right in your backyard.
Attendees can also take advantage of free blood pressure readings, glucose checks, expert advice on medication interactions and bone density scans. Plus, the event features door prizes and refreshments.
