Midnight at the OASIS May 3

The community is invited to join OASIS on Saturday, May 3, for the Sixth Annual Midnight at the OASIS, this year at The Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $30, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the nonprofit agency.

OASIS was founded April 4, 1978 by a group of concerned citizens wanting to provide an organized response to domestic and sexual violence. On May 3, 2008 OASIS will celebrate 30 years of intervention and advocacy for victims and their children fleeing violence or sexual assault, 30 years of new opportunities for survivors, 30 years of transformed lives and 30 years of volunteerism and commitment to creating a community where violence and abuse are no longer tolerated.

The evening will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, dancing to the music of Laditude and an opportunity to hear stories from a founder, a survivor and a volunteer.

For information about purchasing tickets, call 828-264-1532.
