Relay For Life 2008 Team Fundraisers

Watauga County's Relay For Life's 90+ teams are scheduling their team fundraisers to raise money for the American Cancer Society, culminating in the Relay For Life event at Watauga High School on Friday, June 20. All proceeds from these fundraisers benefit the American Cancer Society. For more info about any of the events, call the committee chair or team captain. Thursday to Monday, May 1 to 5—Treasures in the Attic Photos: Photo sessions for children from birth to age 10 at Green Valley Elementary School, with times scheduled for after-school hours. Purchase coupons for sessions by Thursday, April 24. The $9.95 package includes one 8x10, two 5x7, and eight wallet photos. Saturday, May 3—Painting Pots: Boone Drug at Deerfield, lower parking lot, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., $15 per pot. Bring your kids to Boone Drug at Deerfield to paint flowerpots. These homemade beauties make great gifts for Mother’s Day. The team will plant flowers in the pots and have them available for pickup on Friday, May 9. Saturday, May 10—Aquacise-A-Thon: This fun, low-impact, high-energy water aerobics benefit will be held at the Watauga County Swim Complex from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. The donation is $20; register by Friday, May 2, and save $5.
