Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People
Registration Deadline for Wilkes Community College Class May 22
Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro is offering a beginning class in chord piano where, in one session, students will learn all the chords they need to play any pop song, any style and any key by reading chord symbols. Students will also learn how to embellish songs using the secrets and magical shortcuts of professional piano players.
This unique piano workshop will teach people how to play piano by looking at guitar chords instead of reading the notes.
If students don’t know the treble clef, they can send a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a free pamphlet to Music Masters, 90 Molly Lane, Ringgold, Ga. 30736. Then they can enroll with confidence.
The class will be offered Tuesday, May 27, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. The cost is $75, and the registration deadline is Thursday, May 22.
