Angel Food Now Available at Three Watauga Churches—Orders Due May 16
Three Watauga County churches are now host sites for Angel Food Ministries, “a food ministry with a servant’s heart.” Participants may purchase a box of food valued at $60 to $70 for the low price of $30. Additional specials are available each month for the low price of $15 to $20 dollars. The boxes feature frozen meats, fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, and staple items.

Angel Food has
• No membership
• No qualifying income limits
• No applications
• No limit to the number of boxes you may order

You can pay for Angel Food orders with cash, check, money order, or EBT food stamps.

Orders for May are due by Friday, May 16. Pickup is Saturday, May 31, at each church.

Angel Food Ministries May 2008 Menu

For just $30, you can purchase a box of food valued at $60 to $70. Here’s what’s in the April box:
1.5 pounds bacon-wrapped beef filet (4 x 6 oz)
2.5 pounds breaded chicken breast filets
1.5 pounds bone-in pork steaks (4 x 6 oz)
28 ounces Salisbury steak dinner entrée
2.5 pounds beef and bean burritos (10 x 4 oz)
2 pounds popcorn chicken
9.5 ounces Stouffer’s flat bread pizza
16 ounces cauliflower and carrot blend
16 ounces green beans
2 pounds fresh onions
29 ounces pears
32 ounces Borden 2% shelf stable milk
9 ounces breakfast cereal
8 ounces corn muffin mix
16 ounces bean soup mix
1 dozen eggs
1 dessert item

In addition, three specials are available this month at an additional charge. You can purchase one or more specials with the purchase of the regular box.

1.75-pound chicken kebob kit (makes 6 to 8 kebobs): 1.5 pounds chicken breast, 4 ounces vegetables (onions, peppers), skewers
1.25 pounds rib eye steaks (two 10-ounce steaks), 2 pounds thick cut pork chops (four 8-ounce chops), 2 pounds beef hamburger steaks (four 8-ounce steaks)

• May Special #2—5-Pound Steak Box—$20
1.5 pounds bone-in New York strip steaks (two 12-ounce steaks), 1.5 pounds bone-in rib eye steaks (two 12-ounce steaks), 2 pounds sirloin strips (four 8-ounce steaks)
