Carlton Gallery Spring Opening Reception in New Location June 1
Spring with its many shades of green is in full swing in the High Country. Carlton Gallery celebrates with its 26th Spring Exhibition Open Reception on Sunday, June 1, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at its new home—the former Antonaccio Fine Art Gallery at 10360 Highway 105 South. The gallery’s new location is just one block and across the highway toward Boone from its former location.
Carlton Gallery is appreciative to Egi Antonaccio for the opportunity to continue the spirit and energy of the Creekside location in the new space, and the gallery is pleased to exhibit the paintings of Egi Antonaccio. His paintings of bold, bright abstracts in his loose style, along with his traditional, realistic details of landscapes of the High Country bring an added dimension to Carlton Gallery’s roster of multitalented artists.
Newly painted walls in a spring green are the perfect backdrop for the new works by Carlton Gallery’s outstanding artists: Charlotte Foust, Jim Crompton, Marion Cloaninger, Andrew Braitman, Louise Pinto, Jane Desonier, Gina Strumpf, Freeman Beard, Debbie Arnold, Janice Gay-Maker, Holly Glasscock, and new artist to the gallery, Helen Farson.
Carlton Gallery showcases art in varied media and styles—traditional and impressionistic oils on canvas, abstract, mixed media collage, glass, wood and clay sculpture, and fine woodworking are some examples from the collection of original, one-of-a-kind works of art the gallery features for the 26th Spring Exhibition which continues through Tuesday, July 15th. Each art form expresses the creativity and originality of Carlton Gallery’s fine artists of local, regional and international origin.
In addition to an eclectic mix of fine art for Carlton Gallery’s 26th Spring Exhibition Open Reception, the gallery has an outstanding selection of unique jewelry from gifted designers Mia Katrin, Ursula Shuler, Tana Acton, Channing Ayers, Laura Fly, Carol Francis Goode and Zoe Nelson. Each is a handcrafted design of exceptional quality rendered in museum-quality precious and semi-precious stones set in 18 to 22K gold or cultured pearls or intricate silver.
Carlton Gallery’s 26th Spring Exhibition Open Reception will feature refreshments and camaraderie. Some of the gallery’s exhibiting artists will be present to greet patrons and guest.
Gallery hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. For more info, call 828-963-4288 or click to www.carltonartgallery.com.
