Relay For Life 2008 Team Fundraisers
Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.
Watauga County's Relay For Life's 90+ teams are scheduling their team fundraisers to raise money for the American Cancer Society, culminating in the Relay For Life event at Watauga High School on Friday, June 20. All proceeds from these fundraisers benefit the American Cancer Society. For more info about any of the events, call the committee chair or team captain. Friday, May 30—Chicken Barbeque: Laurel Springs Baptist Church, 7504 U.S. Highway 421 S., 11:00 a.m. – until, $10. Preorders will be taken. Delivery available for 10 or more orders to one location. Wednesday, June 11—Celebration of Hope: Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1218 Main Street, Blowing Rock, 7:15 p.m. Celebration of Hope is a service of sacred music featuring the Sanctuary Choir, handbells and instrumentalists. Luminaria Sales: Purchase a luminaria for $10 each in honor or in memory of someone with cancer. Luminaria will be lit all night June 20 at Watauga County’s Relay For Life at Watauga High School. Forms are available from any team member or from the Luminaria Chair Kathy Idol, 828-264-5240.
