Lees-McRae College Pool Opened for Summer June 3
You can beat the heat and get some exercise in the newly renovated Rhea-Lyons swimming pool at Lees-McRae College this summer. The pool is located in the back of Williams Gymnasium on the college campus.
After undergoing major reconstruction, the pool reopened in January thanks in part to the generosity of the Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts and the Cannon Foundation.
The public is welcome to swim laps, take swim lessons or participate in water aerobics. The pool opened Tuesday, June 3, and the summer schedule continues to August 9. Admission to the pool is $1. Two lanes of the pool are open for lap swim even during posted open swim hours.
The pool is closed Sunday and Monday with a few exceptions during the summer.
