Lees-McRae Summer FORUM Seats Almost Sold Out
Story by Anna Oakes
If you want to see a special season of performances featuring world-renowned pianists, an orchestra and classical music ensemble, vocalists and more, then you’ll have to act fast. Memberships to Lees-McRae College’s 2008 FORUM series, beginning Tuesday, June 17, are almost sold out.
Organized in 1979, FORUM brings a stimulating series of cultural programs to Lees-McRae every summer. The series’ organizers work to provide presentations of thought-provoking speakers, vocalists, Big Band/brass, chamber ensembles, pianists, dance and drama.
To attend, however, you must be a patron of the series. Tickets will not be sold for individual shows. Patrons—those who give $125 or more—receive reserved seating at all programs, reserved parking at the Hayes Auditorium lot and invitations to the annual Patron Social.
For more information about FORUM, contact Sandy Ramsey at 828-898-8748 or ramsey@lmc.edu or click to www.lmc.edu/sites/Advancement/Forum.htm.
