I Have A Dream Week Promotes Unity in Diversity
Activities Begin Sunday

Over the past decade, the annual I Have A Dream Week has consistently presented several days of programs commemorating the life, message and service of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrating diversity in the High Country. This year is no different.
Mayor Loretta Clawson of Boone and Mayor J.B. Lawrence of Blowing Rock, Chancellor Ken Peacock of Appalachian State University, the Watauga County Board of Commissioners and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce have proclaimed Sunday, January 18, to Sunday, January 25, as I Have A Dream Week in Watauga County.
The members of the I Have A Dream Task Force organize the event each year, and as always, this year’s celebration includes activities for children, young adults and adults.
