Deadline for ASU Quilt Competition Extended to March 31
The deadline for a traditional quilt competition sponsored by Belk Library and Information Commons at ASU has been extended to March 31.
Quilters may enter any quilt using patterns, methods and cloth traditional to pre-1950 Appalachia. All quilts and entry forms must be postmarked or dropped off at Belk Library and Information Commons by the deadline. The juried competition will select and purchase traditionally patterned quilts to be displayed in the library’s Special Collections-Cratis Williams Reading Room on a rotating basis.
Jurors will include representatives of Special Collections and experts in quilting and Appalachian culture.
