The Relay for Life/Colleges Against Cancer club at Appalachian State University held its second annual THINK PINK event on Monday, February 16, at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone. The ASU men’s and women’s basketball teams joined the American Cancer Society to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer. The event raised $2,400.The ASU Relay for Life event will take place this year on Friday, April 17, at Duck Pond Field on the ASU campus. The event will feature WBTV news anchor and ASU alumnus John Carter, local bands and other activities. To get involved, contact Jeana Sigmon at js71389@appstate.edu.
