The ASU Delta Zeta sorority, in coordination with local businesses, will host its 3rd annual Turtle Trot 5K walk/run on Saturday, March 21, on the Greenway Trail by State Farm Fields from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and the race begins at 11:00 a.m.
Ninety percent of proceeds from the event benefit ASU’s Communication Disorders Clinic, and 10 percent of proceeds benefit the Delta Zeta Foundation, which provides college scholarships for deserving applicants.
Overall winners for both men and women will receive plaques, and the top three finishers in both the men’s and women’s divisions also receive a certificate and a prize, such as a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

“This is a family-oriented event; bring the whole family, even the dog,” said Katie Gregory of ASU’s Delta Zeta. “We are trying to make this more of a community event than just a Greek life event.”
The participation cost is $12 for ASU students, faculty and staff if they pre-register, and $15 on the day of the race. For the general public, the participation cost is $15 if they pre-register and $18 on the day of the race.
