Doncaster/Tanner Outlet Food Drive Through March 1
Doncaster/Tanner Outlet is hosting a charity event from now until Sunday, March 1, to benefit the Hunger and Health Coalition food bank.
During the event, customers who donate goods to the food bank will receive a 30 percent discount on their entire purchase, excluding leather items. Customers also will have a chance to win one of seven $500 Doncaster/Tanner Outlet gift certificates. Drawings for the gift certificates will take place on March 1.
Customers are encouraged to bring donations by the store before they shop. Accepted donations include canned goods, such as meats, soups and vegetables; as well as dry goods, such as cereal, pasta and rice.
The mission of the Hunger and Health Coalition is to relieve poverty and hunger in a compassionate manner for families and individuals experiencing economic hardship and food shortages. The assistance includes food, medicine and referrals to other community resources. The Hunger and Health Coalition meets emergency needs while acting as a community resource helping those in need to find a more permanent solution.
The Doncaster/Tanner Outlet, located at 240 Shadowline Drive in the Shops at Shadowline in Boone, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
“We are so thankful to have the opportunity to partner with the community in battling hunger while providing women with magnificent apparel and a personalized approach to customer service,” said Theresa Morgan, store manager.
The Doncaster/Tanner Outlet houses an assortment of clothing accessories and apparel. The collections come in sizes from 2 to 24 and are discounted from the original price.
