Blowing Rock Jazz Society Welcomes Steve Davidowski Quartet Sunday
This Sunday, March 8, the Blowing Rock Jazz Society will hosts its monthly concert at the Meadowbrook Inn featuring North Carolina-based group the Steve Davidowski Quartet.
Based in Charlotte and no stranger to High Country audiences, Davidowski has long been an in-demand keyboard player. In addition to performing with an array of talented jazz vocalists throughout Western North Carolina, Davidowski was a member of the Dixie Dregs in the mid-1970s and also played with late fiddle legend Vassar Clements.
One of Davidowski’s songs was recently featured on the Instruments of Peace compilation CD that is currently being distributed by the Homegrown Music Network. Davidowski and other artists donated their music to benefit the Raleigh-based nonprofit group North Carolina Peace Action.
Tickets to the show are $15 for nonmembers, $5 for students and free for Blowing Rock Jazz Society members. The show will start at 7:00 p.m. For more information call 828-295-4300 or click to www.brjazzsociety.com.
