Feature Photo—Snow School!
Local children all over the High Country reveled in the multiple snow days off from school they received after more than a foot of snow blanketed parts of the High Country last Sunday. The honeymoon, though, is coming to a close as students in Watauga County Schools must attend school this Saturday, March 7, to make up for lost snow days. So far, Watauga County Schools students have missed 17 days of school and made up three days, which brings the net days of missed school to 14 days. When the net days missed totals beyond 15 days, students will have to go to school during spring break. Photo by Ken Ketchie
