MerleFest Early Bird Ticket Prices Available Until April 3

Music fans keeping an eye on their budgets will want to purchase their tickets to MerleFest 2009, presented by Lowe’s, prior to Friday, April 3. That is the last day to purchase 4-day and 3-day tickets at the Early Bird price, representing an average 10 percent discount.
“During these economic times, all of us at MerleFest want to do whatever we can to allow more fans to attend the festival at a discount price,” said festival director Ted Hagaman. “This year, perhaps more than any other, it’s important for people to have a little diversion, to relax and enjoy the music and the spirit of the event. That’s why we extended our Early Bird deadline until April 3.”
MerleFest 2009, celebrating its 22nd year from April 23 to 26, is already a great entertainment value, offering four days of performances by nearly 100 artists on 15 stages on the campus of Wilkes Community College, all at the same ticket prices as last year’s event.
Purchase tickets online by clicking to www.merlefest.org or call 1-800-343-7857. A complete lineup of artists is also available at the MerleFest website. As in previous years, the list of performers fits the “traditional plus” definition offered by Doc Watson when describing the rich musical diversity that is a hallmark of the event.
