Jimmy Crippen emerges from the kitchen at his Blowing Rock restaurant during the seventh of eight Fire On The Rock qualifying rounds with dishes of blackened and grilled pork tenderloin with lemon basil goat cheese risotto, strawberry-dried cranberry sauce and grilled asparagus in strawberry jam courtesy of Glidewell’s chef Will Burrell. Jackson Dining Chef Guy Branaman was the evening’s winner, beating Burrell 2,239 points to 2,133 points.
