ASU Opera Theater Presents Così fan tutte in Blowing Rock Thursday to Sunday
From Thursday through Sunday, March 26 to 29, the ASU Opera Theater presents Mozart’s Così fan tutte at the Hayes Performing Arts Center in Blowing Rock.
The production—an opera buffa, or comedy—will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Così fan tutte is an opera with a lighthearted look at infidelity. Translated “thus are they all” and subtitled The School for Lovers, Così fan tutte “pokes fun at the inevitable unfaithfulness of women but also at the unscrupulous behavior of the male gender,” said a press release about the opera. “The opera is a comedy and is full of masterful musical wit, but as in all good comedy, there are elements of tragedy as well.”
Tickets are $18 for adults and $9 for students. For tickets or more information, call the Hayes Center box office at 828-295-9627.
