Wild West Theme Park Offers Discount Rates Until May 3

Tweetsie Railroad opens Friday, May 1, for the 2009 season and is now offering Golden Rail Season Passes to locals and visitors. Now through midnight on Sunday, May 3, locals and visitors can save $10 on each pass purchase. Adults can visit Tweetsie all season long for $65, and children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy the same access for $45. After May 3, season pass rates are $75 for adults and $55 for children. During 2009, Tweetsie Railroad will host a variety of special events including the popular Day Out With Thomas, Fun Fest with Bob the Builder, Barney and Angelina Ballerina, a visit from Dora the Explorer and her cousin Diego from Go, Diego Go!, the July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza, performances by the K-9s in Flight Frisbee Dogs, live concerts by the Grammy-award winning Riders In The Sky and the popular Ghost Train Halloween Festival.
In addition, Tweetsie visitors can experience the other activities offered at the park including the Wild West train adventure, amusement park rides, Deer Park zoo, Miner’s Mountain and live entertainment for all ages including the famed Diamond Lil’s Can-Can Revue in the Tweetsie Palace.
A Golden Rail Season Pass includes a full season of Tweetsie visits, admission to all special events, free parking for the July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza and one admission to Tweetsie’s Ghost Train Halloween Festival on the night of your choice. Golden Rail Season Pass holders also get discounts at area attractions, including Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock Park, Grandfather Mountain, Mast General Store and Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway.
Tweetsie Railroad will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting May 1, and seven days a week from May 22 through August 23 before returning to the weekend schedule from August 28 through November 1, including Labor Day Monday. The 2009 season ends Sunday, November 1. The park’s regular hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but will be open until 9:00 p.m. on July 4th and nightly during the Ghost Train Halloween Festival in October. In addition, the park will open at 8:00 a.m. both Saturdays during the popular Day Out With Thomas event. Regular daily admission is $30 for adults and $22 for children ages 3 through 12.
