High School Musical 2 at Hayes Performing Arts Center April 30 to May 9
Blowing Rock Stage Company and Rocket Players Youth Theatre will bring High School Musical 2 to the stage at the Hayes Performing Arts Center in Blowing Rock from Thursday, April 30, to Saturday, May 9.

The Rocket Players are not new to the stage, or to the High School Musical productions. Back in May 2007, The Rocket Players made High School Musical, based on the original screenplay, a smashing hit. Much anticipation mounts as the shows opening date grows closer. The question lingers. Will the second be better than the first?
“Proving that lightning can and does strike twice, High School Musical 2 actually surpasses the first movie,” said a Variety Magazine review.
High School Musical 2 is based on the book by David Simpatico and premiered as a Disney Channel Original Movie, written by Peter Barsocchini.
More than two dozen actors and actresses bring the Disney Channel’s smash hit movie musical sequel to life on stage. Songs are by Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil; David N. Lawrence and Faye Greenberg; Randy Petersen and Kevin Quinn Jamie Houston, Bryan Louiselle, Andy Dodd and Adam Watts; and Antonina Armato and Tim James.
Music for High School Musical 2 was adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle.
