Cre8tive Drama Day Camp at ASU June 29 to July 2

Theatre Education Coordinator Gordon Hensley and the ASU Theatre and Dance Department will present Cre8tive Drama Day Camp at ASU from Monday, June 29, to Thursday, July 2. This weeklong camp focuses on Creative Drama. Children and teens are challenged to think creatively and encouraged to work collaboratively while exploring theatre and movement.

Creative Drama creates a safe environment to enhance language practice, develop creative thinking, explore different cultures and gives a basic opportunity experience the features of theatre. The arts provide young people with learning experiences that are meaningful by engaging their hearts and minds. Students draw within themselves to generate creative results, for there is a chance for unlimited challenge.

The program includes programming for three age groups: 6 to 8, 9 to 12, and 13 to 16. A team of senior Theatre Education majors assists Hensley in the fun-filled lessons and activities for the week.
