High Country Hospice Hosts Annual Bazaar June 19
High Country Hospice is getting things organized for their annual Bazaar. The Hospice Bazaar is taking place this spring instead of in the fall due to the tremendous support the community has provided for the event in donating items. The goals for the High Country Hospice Bazaar include raising funds to support Hospice patient services and raising awareness and understanding of the needs of people living with a life-limiting illness and their families.
The Hospice Bazaar will be held on Friday, June 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, June 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Boone. Janet Trivett, volunteer coordinator for High Country Hospice, said the bazaar will be even better than last year, with better quality and a wider array of items—including new items—and better organization.
The Bazaar will have plenty of items for sale, including furniture, gently used adult and children clothing, holiday decorations, outdoor items such as grills and car accessories, children’s toys, vintage items, glassware, books and more. There will also be a silent auction including a vintage Speed Boy delivery toy, NASCAR knife set, coke collectible and many other items donated by Hospice supporters. Information about Hospice services will also be available.
For more than 25 years, Hospice has provided Watauga County with choices, relief from pain and eased worries. High Country Health Care System Hospice serves Watauga, Ashe and Alleghany counties.
