Early Bird Tickets On Sale for Playhouse Family Music Festival
For the third year in a row, the Playhouse Family Music Festival presents an eclectic slate of performers that both adults and kids can enjoy without embarrassment. The Playhouse Family Music Festival will be held on Friday, August 7, from 5:30 to 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Cove Creek School in Sugar Grove.
Families can save $40 by purchasing an Early Bird Two Day Family Pass to the music festival for $50. Passes are on sale now at www.goplayhouse.org. This offer ends on July 24.
This year’s festival will kick off this year with a contra dance on Friday evening featuring the music of Dot-Dot-Dash, The Forget-Me-Nots, Lost Ridge Band and Lisa Baldwin & Dave Haney.
Saturday’s headliners include Sol Driven Train, Big Bang Boom and the Lazybirds. A truly family friendly event, the Playhouse Family Music Festival will include tons of fun kids activities, inflatables and a Kids’ Craft Market where children can sell their own artwork. Food and shopping will also be offered.

Children’s librarian Carol Bollini returns with a fun-filled story times for kids three and up. Mrs. B is great at involving kids with fun rhymes, fingerplays and great stories! She will be sharing summer stories in July and Around the World stories in August.
Learning Through Song Concert

Lisa Baldwin plays to a variety of traditional and unusual songs from her new CD. Baldwin's highly interactive program combines singing, playing instruments, reading, movement and other activities both fun and educational.
Expressive Arts Workshop

Led by Dana Larson, this workshop invites parents and kids to express their creativity together.
Free Science Workshop: Float Your Boat

Sing-A-Long & Play-A-Long

Join Vanessa Van Valin for a musical sing-a-long and play-a-long. Kids and parents will have fun learning finger songs, playing instruments and singing together. Free to members or with paid admission to The Playhouse.
Polymer Bead Workshop for Ages 4 to Adult

Learn how to make beautiful beads and friendship bracelets out of polymer clay. Shari Galiardi will share secrets of African bead making she learned on a recent trip to Ghana. $3 for members, $8 for nonmembers (includes Playhouse admission).
