Fine Arts and Crafts Show July 4 and 5 at The Great Train Robbery

Arts & Crafts Award Show at Great Train Robbery This Weekend

In addition to Mountain Top Promotions Fine Arts and Crafts Award Show this Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28, at The Great Train Robbery, Pat Fay, co-owner of Mountain Top Promotions, is hosting an Independence Day Weekend Fine Arts and Crafts Show on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, at The Great Train Robbery, located at 2120 Tynecastle Highway in Banner Elk.

The show this weekend takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and the Independence Day Weekend Show takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5. Admission and parking to both shows are free.

More than 40 artisans and master craftspeople from all over the country will converge into Banner Elk for the Independence Day Weekend Show. As always, Fay has scheduled a diverse showing of artisans for the show. From paintings to furniture, from pottery to water fountains, from wine to hand-blown glass, from works of metal to jewelry, from chainsaw bears to walking sticks, the Independence Day Weekend Fine Arts and Crafts Show has it all. Artists are coming from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

Representatives from Sparta’s Chateau Laurinda Winery will attend with more than 20 wines for sampling and sale, and Mountain Top Jewelry will be there with 24-karat gold coins designed into necklaces. High Country Writers will be on hand with books to sell and sign, and Collin Lane Pottery will be back with pottery, water fountains and abstract glass art and pictures.

The show also features Celtic music CDs, hand-carved woodworking, lamps, home accessories, beads, crystal pieces, wind chimes, oil paintings, metalwork, homemade food, rocking chairs and end tables.

In addition to the shows this weekend and next, The Great Train Robbery and Emporium will be open on both weekends, offering multitudes of original gift ideas and rare finds.
