Art Crawl Presents Culture Shock Arts Explosion at Murphy’s Friday
Local bluegrass outfit Boss Hawg featuring Mark Schimick will perform during Culture Shock at Murphy’s this Friday, July 3. The special event will feature live music, dancers and painters throughout the night in conjunction with the DBDA’s Art Crawl Presents music series.
This Friday, July 3, Murphy’s Irish Pub & Restaurant will host Culture Shock, a special of live music, arts and entertainment in conjunction with the Downtown Boone Development Association’s monthly Art Crawl Presents music series.
Culture Shock will kick off with a performance by the blues masters King Bees Duo from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Murphy’s patio, followed by two long sets of bluegrass from local favorites Boss Hawg featuring mandolin player and fiddler Mark Schimick and famed local clogger Arthur Grimes.
At midnight, local solo artist Brian Smith will team up with Banana da Terra bassist Tim Salt for a special half hour set of experimental music. At 12:30 a.m., livetronica outfit Clustar will round out the evening with a special set of music featuring live painting and break dancers.
