Monday, July 13, will mark the third in five total concerts for the Monday Night Concert Series in Blowing Rock this summer. The show is produced and directed by Amy Marie Productions and sponsored by Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation.

Monday’s concert, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Broyhill Park, will feature guitarist and mandolin player Jonathan Maness along with special guests Cory Kimbro and Mike Seal. Director Amy Marie Young and pianist Steve Sensenig will also perform.

To date, Maness has had the opportunity to play with the likes of Sam Bush, Doc Watson, David Holt, Riders in the Sky and Wayne Henderson. He now spends his time touring with the contemporary Christian Country group Young Harmony, working on a record with his good friend Clint Alphin and finishing up the tracking of a progressive bluegrass solo project. He also performs with the Watkins Family and the band Mountain Soul.

Maness will perform in Grits the Musical in the fall. He runs a record label called Anteflow Records and has been a favorite in the Monday Night Concert Series the last 10 years of its existence.

Cory Kimbro, member of Mountain Soul and tenor vocalist and mandolin player, will also perform along with Mike Seal on Resophonic Guitar. Seal plays with Jeff Sipe and Mountain Soul, and his past credits include the Jeff Coffin Mut’et, Robinela and many local acts on the Knoxville scene.

Broyhill Park is located off of Clark Street in downtown Blowing Rock. Bring a chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the performance will take place in the American Legion building off of Park Avenue. For more information, call 828-295-5222 or click to www.amymarieproductions.com.
