Feature Photo—Warren Dennis Donates Painting to Town of Boone
Award-winning painter and former ASU art instructor Warren Dennis donated one of his paintings to the Town of Boone during last Thursday’s Boone Town Council meeting. Dennis and his wife Mary Kate received a certificate of appreciation from Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson. The painting will hang in the council chambers. Dennis’ award-winning paintings have been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States and are a part of many public and private collections. His extensive artistic career has included being an ASU art professor from 1965 to 1993. He also has been involved with numerous art-related endeavors and committees, including serving as a member of the Acquisitions Board for the Hickory Museum of Art from 1998 to 2006.
