Walker Brother Circus in Boone August 7

The Walker Brothers Circus brings high-flying acts to the High Country on Friday, August 7.Gather under the Big Top on Friday, August 7, when the Walker Brothers Circus comes to the High Country Fairgrounds in Boone. The circus will present two shows, at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
The circus’s 2009 North American Tour features second- and third-generation circus performers from around the world. Exciting acts include aerial straps, comedy, juggling, contortionism and tumbling.
The 1.5-hour show will feature Lucio, a clown artist from South America; Miss Rebecca and La Francie, performing aerial ballet using agility, strength and contortion; Paulo, an 11-year-old juggler; Scott, along with his unrideable mule; and Miss Desiree, who presents the Pony Fantasy of Fairies.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $5 for children. Two children 14 and under will be admitted free with a paying adult. In addition, free children’s tickets are available at various local businesses. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.walkerbrotherscircus.com.
