Blowing Rock Hospital Benefit Fashion Show Friday

The Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation is looking forward to the upcoming Silent Auction, Fashion Show and Luncheon to be held this Friday, August 7, at Blowing Rock Country Club to benefit the Blowing Rock Hospital.

Friday’s fashion show starts at 10:00 a.m. with a champagne reception and silent auction. The auction features more than 137 items donated by local businesses and artists available for bid. Tickets are available for $60 per person.

From bark planters by Bark Creations to dainty and delicate items from Blowing Rock Estate Jewelry & Antiques and from Dianne Devant & Associates Interior Design, and with services from Westglow Resort & Spa, this year’s event promises to excite all guests. The Dande Lion in Banner Elk will present fashions, accessories and shoes for this year’s event.

Megan Ellis would like to express her appreciation to the Silent Auction committee for their assistance in contacting businesses and artists and collecting items for this event, and to chairperson Joellyn Gibbons, co-chair Bethy Gruber and the rest of the Blowing Rock Hospital Fashion Show and Luncheon committee for all their hard work in making this year’s event another huge success.

“This event could not be possible without these wonderful women,” said Ellis. “Funds raised by the event will be used to purchase new beds for the patients of Blowing Rock Hospital. Not only will the new beds improve the quality of life for our patients, but they will be safer, help prevent falls and be more comfortable than the old beds.”
