Lew Sterrett of Miracle Mountain Ranch in Spring Creek, Pa. will return to the High Country on Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15, to present Sermon on the Mount at the Blowing Rock Equestrian Preserve. Sterrett uses horses in various stages of training to illustrate lessons for life.
The presentations will take place from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. each night.
“Our purpose is to help people understand how healthy relationships develop and how they can experience harmony and success in their own lives,” he said. Sermon on the Mount uses horses to illustrate Biblical relationship principles to demonstrate loving, successful horse and trainer interaction.
As an international speaker, horse trainer and certified counselor, Sterrett has developed several video and television series. In addition to his travels, Sterrett serves as executive director of Miracle Mountain Ranch.
Sermon on the Mount is presented to more than 30,000 people annually in 25 states and provinces each year. People of all ages, religious backgrounds and horse or non-horse enthusiasts are welcome.
The Friday presentation includes Sterrett starting a “green” horse—a horse that has never been ridden. In the Saturday presentation, he deals with problem areas in a horse.
Admission is free, but a love offering will be taken each night. Concessions, including food provided by Carolina Barbeque and coffee beverages provided by Bald Guy Brew, will be available beginning at 5:00 p.m., along with live music.
This event is sponsored by Living Hope Ministries of Boone. For more information, call John Padgett at 828-773-2864. To learn more about Sterrett and Miracle Mountain Ranch, click to www.sermononthemount.org.
