Earth Energy Expert Page Bryant Visits the High Country
Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson visited with Page Bryant and her husband, artist Scott Guynup of Waynesville, during their visit last Friday, September 25, to Dancing Moon Bookstore on King Street in Boone. Bryant, a leading expert in earth energies, said that the Earth is a living, breathing, sacred being and if humans accepted this, wanton environmental damage would stop. Bryant, author of The Spiritual Reawakening of the Great Smoky Mountains, which describes several sacred sites in the High Country, including the unique Linville Gorge-Hawksbill-Table Rock alignments, received training from the great Chippewa medicine man, Sun Bear. Treva McLean of Banner Elk orchestrated the visit. Tupelo’s and Red Onion Café also sponsored the event.
