Tweetsie’s Ghost Train Halloween Festival Begins Friday

This Friday, October 2, Tweetsie Railroad’s annual Ghost Train Halloween Festival begins. Up until October 31, guests at the Wild West theme park will enjoy chills, thrills and a frighteningly good time as conductor Casey Bones leads all ages through a Halloween experience like no other.

Don’t miss a hauntingly good time as Tweetsie Railroad celebrates the 20th season of its Ghost Train Halloween Festival. This spooktacular event begins this Friday, October 2, and runs every Friday and Saturday night through October 31.

During the day, visitors can enjoy Tweetsie’s Wild West adventure, but when the sun goes down, trick-or-treaters of all ages will experience chills, thrills and a frighteningly good time. Hop aboard and join engineer Casey Bones and his crew on the Ghost Train and experience Halloween fun all evening long.

Take a trip to The Boneyard for the 3-D Maze, the infamous Black Hole and the all-new Freaky Forest attraction. The Freaky Forest invites guests to take a spooky stroll along a dark, desolate pathway, where they’ll encounter the creatures, ghouls and terrors from your funniest nightmares. The Freaky Forest is recommended for brave guests over 8 years of age.

Guests can also tour the exciting Haunted House and discover 13 spooky rooms guaranteed to both startle and test the imagination. At the Haunted Palace Saloon, younger guests will be enchanted by The Tweetsie Palace Spooktacular black light show.

Finally, visitors can stop by the Creepy Carnival and take a spin on a variety of amusement park rides. Although some attractions are recommended for adults and older children, there are shows and attractions for the youngest of guests, too. Kids can also enjoy traditional trick-or-treating throughout the park. It’s safe, scary fun for all ages.

The gates open at 7:30 p.m. Due to the popularity of this annual event, a limited number of tickets are available for each evening. Advance tickets are required, and many nights often sell out. Admission is $26 for adults and children, while kids ages 2 and under are admitted free.

Tweetsie Railroad is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays now through November 1. The park’s regular hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Ghost Train hours are 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Tweetsie Railroad is located on Highway 321 between Boone and Blowing Rock. For more information or tickets, click to www.tweetsie.com  or call 1-877-TWEETSIE.
