With the Snow Comes Jobs

Area Snowsport Resorts Begin Hiring for Winter Season

Cold weather means area ski slopes, such as Appalachian Ski Mountain, pictured here, are now looking for responsible, dedicated workers to fill their employee ranks. The upcoming season’s employment opportunities are a welcome reprieve from the exceptional job losses felt this summer.

Many skiers become excited as the wind blows through magenta and yellowing leaves. Soon the cold will set in, allowing the snow machines to blanket our local slopes.

Not only does the snow facilitate winter fun, it also brings an end to the cold chill of low employment opportunities.

Last season, snowfall was spectacular for the local ski slopes and many locals and visitors took advantage of Mother Nature’s bounty. The hope is that this year’s business will be as steady as last, and employment opportunities will continue to rise, even throughout the winter months.

Currently, all of the local ski slopes are beginning their search for responsible, dedicated workers to help fill the seasonal void. Some jobs are reserved for returning senior employees, however, there are still many jobs available for consideration by newcomers to this way of winter life.
