October Marks Town of Boone’s Month of Self-Awareness and Acceptance

Town of Boone Mayor Loretta Clawson has proclaimed October “A Month to Celebrate You.” ASU, along with High Country organizations and individuals, is bringing a number of events to the area to promote self-acceptance, self-esteem and methods that promote healthier lifestyles and better well-being.

A number of programs and workshops on the ASU campus and in the community will take place this month, and each event will focus on self-esteem and self-acceptance.

Counseling and Psychological Services, University Recreation, Counseling for Faculty and Staff, ASU Athletics, Pan-Hellenic Hall and the Women’s Center are ASU’s sponsoring organizations.

The Institute of Health and Human Services, High Country Women’s Fund, Broyhill Wellness Center, Pink on the Move and Westglow Spa are community sponsors.
