Get Out to the Polls November 3

Early Voting and Election Day Poll Locations

Election Day for local municipal races takes place on Tuesday, November 3. The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in both counties. To vote in a town election, you must reside within the town limits.

Prior to Election Day, early voting continues through this Saturday, October 31. The early voting period is your last chance to register to vote if you haven’t already done so.

In Avery County, you can vote early at the Avery County Board of Elections, located at 200 Montezuma Street in Newland, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. this Thursday and Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

In Watauga County, you can vote early at the Watauga County Board of Elections, located at 842 West King Street, Suite 6, and at the Agricultural Conference Center at 252 Poplar Grove Road from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. this Thursday and Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. On Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30, only, a third early voting site is open at the ASU Plemmons Student Union Multicultural Room from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
