Local Military Officers Association Hosts Veterans Day Ceremony at Boone Mall

A crowd of more than 100 people gathered at Boone Mall on Wednesday, November 11, to celebrate Veterans Day at a ceremony sponsored by the High Country Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America. The event included a performance by the Watauga Community Band and remarks from local lawyer Anthony S. di Santi, who won a Silver Star and a Purple Heart for his military service during Vietnam.
