For the better part of a decade, those in the know have been crossing friends and family off their Christmas shopping lists with ease and excitement thanks to Mountain Top Promotion’s annual Christmas Craft Show at Boone Mall.

This year, in an effort to better serve people who want to get Christmas shopping over with before the holiday rush, the 6th annual craft show will take place two weeks earlier than usual from Friday to Sunday, November 27 to 29.

“We moved the show up to Thanksgiving weekend and on Black Friday to double people’s chances to get great, early deals on gifts,” said Pat Fay, owner of Mountain Top Promotions and Mountain Top Jewelry and host of the show.

The show features free admission and is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

More than 40 crafters hailing from North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee and Vermont will be in attendance, each displaying handmade and homemade goods that are sure to delight young and old on Christmas morning.

“It’s perfect for finding a gift for that hard-to-shop-for person on your list,” added Fay.

Attendees to the show will find all sorts of fine jewelry, including pendants, long necklaces with beads, antique jewelry and 14-karat and 24-karat gold and sterling silver pieces of all shapes and sizes. Gift hunters will also discover hand sewn pillow cases, quilts, placemats and stuffed toys; calligraphy; pottery; hand-painted signs; baskets; holiday dips and treats; photography; scarves and shawls; chimes and outdoor decorations, such as customizable fabric snowmen; paintings; glasswork, including lighted glass picture blocks; wood furniture and woodwork; homemade microwave heat packs; and candles of all kinds, such as one variety that melts to become hand lotion.

“If you’re looking for a unique gift, then there you go!” added Fay.
