Avery Arts Council Hosts Carnival Party Saturday
Advanced Reservations Required
The Avery County Arts Council will host the 2nd annual Carnival Party this Saturday, January 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Linville Land Harbor golf house. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple, and advanced reservations are required.
“It’s a really fun time,” said Avery Arts Council Executive Director LouAnn Morehouse. “It’s just a party to cure mid-winter doldrums and to celebrate Carnival.”
The evening will feature a catered buffet of Cajun-inspired food and a DJ playing music for dancing. Each guest will be issued 10 “dance cards,” which they can present to anyone with whom they would like to dance. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks.
The guest who finds a party favor hidden inside his or her king cake will be designated king for the evening, Morehouse said.
