Community Lenten Services at Boone Area Churches
As part of the upcoming season of Lent and the Easter holiday, many Boone area churches will hold joint community Lenten services. These services feature a variety of area ministers and churches coming together around the common theme of Christ’s resurrection.
Lent, the season of preparation for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17, and continues through Saturday, April 3. Easter is Sunday, April 4.
Lenten Worship Services
Area churches will host Lenten worship services on consecutive Wednesdays during Lent at 12:00 p.m. Each service will be about 30 minutes long and will include a light lunch—with the exception of the Ash Wednesday service—a traditional day of fasting.
For more information, or if your church would like to host the March 17 service, contact Scott Courtney at Oak Grove Baptist Church at 828-264-2642.
